Two containers or bowls
Give your child a collection of items to sort by one attribute, like color or size. You might use toy cars, blocks, or buttons. Show them two containers and demonstrate putting one item in each. Then let them continue the task. This takes sustained focus for their age. When their attention wanders, gently guide them back: 'Let's finish sorting these together.' The goal is completing the whole task, not perfection.
